Cloyne Park Gets Microburst Funding
Margaret Axford is the Curator of the Cloyne Pioneer Museum. She describes the importance of CFFL&A funding when a microburst hit the Cloyne area in 2002 toppling trees in this hamlet park that had many 200 year old White Pine trees. The towering Pines were uprooted necessitating a large clean-up and redevelopment of the park. The community came together and with Foundation funding the park was rebuilt, reforested and is again a focal point of Cloyne.
